About

I've been teaching snowboarding since 2004, when I started coaching at my home mountain in NY.  I love sharing my passion for the sport, and helping you have fun and learn at the same time. I enjoy riding the whole mountain, although I enjoy riding the glades and the park the most.  I try to push my riding as far as I can safely can, and constantly search for new fun ways to ride the mountain.  My favorite days on snow involve fresh powder and jumps with soft landings.  This winter (2015/2016) I took on the role of snowboard training coordinator for Sunday River, and create the snowboard content and train staff as well.

Intermediate - Another Program

Patrick was an excellent instructor. He took me and my brother all over the mountain and gave us tips and tricks to become more proficient Snowboarders. Patrick was not only a great teacher but a lot of fun to be with throughout the whole day. It became very clear my brother and I could trust his instructions, and in turn we were able to ride to multiple trails that I though I would never successfully complete. All in all I could not have asked for a better instructor for my two days at Sunday River, also I would recommend Patrick to any of my fellow snowboarders.

Advanced - Another Program

I don't know if I'm intermediate or advanced? Probably intermediate for freestyle and advanced with carving. Anyway, I just took a 90 min freestyle lesson with pat and he was fantastic. He strengthened my abilities on boxes, 180/360s off jumps, 360 nose rolls and got me carving perfect while riding switch on blues. While I am no stranger to group and private lessons with other instructors, Patrick was one who constantly asked what I wanted to do. He never rode too far ahead and stopped looking at what I was trying to accomplish. I can say that I will definitely be taking another lesson with him in the near future. Thanks again!

Beginner - Another Program

Booked a group lesson that ended up being just my friend and I. Patrick's a great teacher-he manages to put physical concepts into words well, works with his students' learning styles, and keeps a focus on challenging his students without frustrating them. Very highly recommended, particularly for adults looking to learn.
