About
Skiing has been a big part of my life since I was 12 years old and learned to ski at the southern most U.S. ski area in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. While in college at the University of Texas in Austin, I drove 1300 miles round trip every weekend to instruct at Sierra Blanca (now Ski Apache). That was 54 years ago! Since then I had a wonderful marriage of 40+ years, served 4 terms in the Idaho State Senate, raised two children, taught Economics and American Government at Boise High School and was the administrator at a Boise law firm. For 5 years I instructed at Brundage and now at Tamarack in my 5th year. I feel privileged to be able to still help others learn to ski and hopefully to love it as much as I have.
