About your guide:

A Colorado girl through and through, I have been skiing at Winter Park since before I could walk. Really, my first WP ski pass picture is me asleep in a backpack on my dad's back. Winter Park is in my DNA both of my parents have instructed at Winter Park off and on for the past 40 years and I have spent every weekend possible skiing at Winter Park for the past 24 years. I am so stoked to show you my favorite place on this earth! 

If I'm not at Winter Park you can find me in the backcountry, skiing, backpacking, hiking, or climbing. I also love to cook, travel, and do yoga. 

Ski style:

My perfect day at Winter Park starts out early and ideally with fresh snow. I skin up Mary Jane Trial before the lifts open to get a warm up in. Then I like to spend the day chasing powder, steeps, and bumps.

Why ski with Ellie:

Ellie is a great choice for guide service! Her depth of knowledge concerning Winter Park terrain is great and she took me to some awesome places that fit my agenda: trees and steeps. Her attitude and personality are very pleasant and engaging. Ellie is easy and interesting to talk with and we certainly had more than a few laughs. If you’re looking for cruisers or something more extreme (make no mistake, Ellie can ski) choose Ellie as your guide; she’s totally groovy.

Is there more than a 5-star review? I’ve skied WinterPark for 10+ years and feel very comfortable on most of the mountain. My goal for the day was to see parts of the mountain that haven’t seen before or that make me nervous without someone to ski with. Enter Ellie! Ellie was the perfect guide for me. Ellie’s knowledge of the mountain was everything that I expected. She knew where the secret pockets of powder were hiding even after 3 days with no new snow. She took me to places on the mountain that I never would have tried to find on my own. My day with Ellie was everything that I expected and more. Her knowledge of the mountain might be second only to her talent as a skier. And her talent as a skier is only second to her smile, her attitude and her enthusiasm for skiing. I couldn’t have asked for more in a guided ski day. Ellie has a client for many years to come!

Ellie was an amazing guide. I took my intermediate skills and she challenged me in a comfortable way to try new runs and areas I would not navigate on my own and I had a blast and have a new love for Winter Park. We also selected a major powder day where the lines were really long, best part, we cut every line. Best day I've had skiing in a long time.

Ellie was our guide on Saturday 12/23/18- she communicated with us ahead of time to determine what our goals were for the time we would ski with her. Ellie gave us a fabulous overview of the mountain, taking us down a variety of runs, showing us options that were within the scope of our expertise and made us feel extremely comfortable with the terrain. She exceeded our expectations in her knowledge of the mountain, her abilities as a guide/instructor and also her breadth of knowledge of international travel and world experiences- We would work with her again and highly recommend her for others wanting a similar experience.
