About

Hello!

My name is Garrett. I have had a passion for skiing since I was two years old. I've skiied in various states and countries around the world, and competed in freestyle skiing for the Squaw Valley Freestyle Team in Lake Tahoe, CA.

I teach skiing because I absolutely love the sport, especially skiing powder, tree skiing, and cliff jumping. I also really enjoy teaching and spending time outside. Over the past couple years, I've been working to get my masters degree in Outdoor and Environmental Education. I enjoy supporting, guiding, and teaching students everything and anything the natural environment has to offer. So, ski instructing truly brings my two passions together.

The equipment that I will be using this season are the 2017 Blizzard Bonifide skis. They are great all mountain skis, from groomers to serveral inches of fresh powder.

Finally, my favorite areas to ski at Tamarack are Serenity Canyon, and the entire right side of the mountain (runs: After You, Mystery Glades, and Staircase).
