About your guide:
I was lucky to grow up in southwest Colorado, in the mountain town of Gunnison, so got to learn skiing on an old rope tow, making laps to yodeling music after school. I remember losing my deerskin mittens about once a month as they froze on the rope and went around the bow wheel at the top before I could retrieve them. After the past 30 years of skiing Winter Park and living my dream here in beautiful Grand County, I want to share all I love about this place with you. Nothing gives me more joy than to see my ski buddies with a big broad smile and hear them whopping it up all the way down the slopes.
Ski style:
I love to ski anything.....from the greenest slopes to the steepest ones so we'll go wherever will make you laugh the loudest. I especially like to ski with women of all ages who might be feeling a bit fearful or intimidated about a big mountain experience. My female friends will tell you that nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing a ski buddy experience a breakthrough in confidence and courage.
Why ski with Dede:
I'm a history geek too, so if you get me started, I'll tell you all sorts of tales from yesteryear about the Fraser Valley and beyond. I love to hike and backpack in the summer and live up-valley next to the Colorado River.
