About

<div>Me
I've been teaching since 2006. I passed my AASI level 3 exam in march of 2012. From the season of 2012-2013 to 2014-2015 I headed up the snowboard training and in house freestyle certification for all the staff at Sunday River. I am now a part of the Copper family in Colorado where I teach for Ski and Ride School and coach for Woodward. I've been teaching skiing for 8 years and freestyle skiing for 6, though do not have any certs on skis. Winter has been my passion since I was very small and I love sharing it with as many others as I can!

Beginner - Another Program

I'm 30+ years old and just started snowboarding last year. Gabe is an outstanding instructor! I have had lessons with other instructors at other locations and I have learned so much more from Gabe's instruction than from any other teacher. His innate, uncanny ability to pinpoint and explain exactly what I need to correct is incredible! He says, do this one little thing, unscrunch your toes for example, or bend your front knee, and it makes an incredible improvement in my riding. He is so far ahead of any snowboard instructor I've had. He has excellent people skills and is lovely to ride with. The first few lessons I had with him, he just let me ride down slowly holding his hand, so I didn't have to fall, and have a miserable experience. I highly recommend Gabe's work for anyone. He's even taught my 60 something mother to ride!! He makes learning a new, scary sport easy and fun and I am completely addicted to riding now. Any chance I get, I'm on the mountain with Gabe.
