More than anything, I enjoy helping people. I like coaching students or customers through a challenge, seeing the look on their face when they are victorious.
I have some strong beliefs about ski instruction:
- Always go at the student's pace. I never take someone on terrain they can't handle, or push them beyond what is safe and comfortable for them.
- Fundamentals matter. I try to make teaching the basics fun, because they are crucial on your first day and every day thereafter. Especially a good stance!
I run a growing business in Los Angeles, so I'm only able to make it up on weekends, but I love it so much I don't mind working 7 days/week all winter.
