About
I began instructing at Stevens Pass January 1970 and I found teaching others to be so gratifying that I changed my major at the University of Washington from forestry to education. I taught Spanish for 44 years. I enjoy helping others to learn how to find joy on the snow and make NW winters more fun. My niche, I have found out to be, is helping change those terminal wedge turners into parallel skiers so more of the mountain can be discovered. Stevens Pass offers a vast array of runs. Here you will find an awesome learning zone to build confidence. As you progress as a skier you can move on to excellent intermediate terrain. I am certain that you will have a delightful experience at Stevens Pass. I am bilingual Spanish-English.

"My instructor was Bob. He was amazing! It was my fourth time skiing (all at Stevens Pass, this winter) and I feel my skills and confidence doubled thanks to his helpful feedback and tips. I will be coming back."
"Bob was great and very knowledgeable."
"I
thought Bob did a great job explaining things in multiple ways, giving each
of us specific advice, and taking a student down "Double Daisy" to
assess whether they were ready to graduate rather. Favorite instructor I've
had so far. I recommend that every instructor do the "Double Daisy" assessment
to determine if someone is ready to graduate because I've had others graduate
out of the class off of the 50' beginner hill which doesn't have a lot of
room to prove you can link turns."
“Bob is great! He handled the very challenging task of customizing the lesson for three students working on three different things. We are looking forward to booking another lesson with him soon."
