About
I first skied in 1963 - yes, I've been around that long! I grew up in Utah and have skied many of the great resorts and slopes in northern Utah. I have enjoyed them all, and love to explore and experiment on the diverse and ever-changing terrain here at Sundance.
I was born in Columbia South Carolina, and grew up in Murray, Utah. I have enjoyed living in several states (South Carolina, Utah, Massachussetts, and Arizona), and a few different countries (USA, Ireland, France, India, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Uganda). I married my wife, Julie, in 1978, and we have five children and 13 grandchildren.
After graduating from Murray High School (Utah) I attended the University of Utah, then Brigham Young Uninversity, and finally earned my doctoral degree in education from Harvard University in 1985.
Learning is my passion - I'm an information junkie! I'm also an avid sportsperson, and enjoy skiing (of course!), road biking, hiking, and golfing.
