About

I can teach anyone to snowboard, although I specialize in children ages 5 - 18. In addition to many years teaching snowboarding, I am also a certified Social Studies teacher for grades 5 thru 12 here in Vermont.  I particularly enjoy teaching my young riders' parents how to snowboard and make it a family affair!

I am a New England native, from Glastonbury, CT. Now, I live in the Green Mountain National Forest here in Southern Vermont so that I can enjoy the Mount Snow Valley four seasons a year (I also teach kayak and mountain bike lessons in the summer FYI)! While I currently only instruct the public and train fellow staff, I have been a Supervisor and a Manager in the Mount Snow Ski and Snowboard School in the past. 

Bilingual lessons, in Spanish and English. Just ask the lifties - my Spanish is on point!


I have ridden: VT, CT, NH, CA, WA, CO, UT, and OR in the United States. Abroad, I have ridden British Columbia, and have also lived and ridden in Chile.

Beginner - Another Program

I feel like my daughter just got the absolute best session from the absolute best instructor in North America! I could not have imagined her very first day of snowboarding going any better! I chose to drive 6 hours from Philly to Mt. Snow because of the amazing things I heard about the Riglet program at Mt. Snow. I did not expect my daughter to get the best, Brennan, and am so damn happy she did. First impressions mean so much. Especially, to a 4-year old. I snowboard, and look forward to many future snowboard adventures with my daughter. So, I wanted/needed her first time to be perfect...so she loves it and wants to do it again and again. Brennan truly made it more perfect than I expected. So good with kids. So great with Talulah. They connected right away! By the end of the day, she was going up on the lift and down the hill! I bragged...she bragged. This truly was an experience we will both never forget. Thank you, Mt. Snow...every staff member we ran into treated us like family. Thank you, Brennan!

Intermediate - Another Program

Brennan has been coaching my three children (currently 7, 9 & 11 yrs old) for the last two seasons at Mount Snow. Simply put, Brennan is an OUTSTANDING instructor; he is the entire package... knowledgeable, articulate, engaging and intelligent. The kids work hard without realizing it because they're having so much fun with Brennan... which results in impressive development. For anybody looking for an instructor we STRONGLY encourage you to try Brennan! A definite HOME RUN experience! Sincerely, the Coughlins
